The agent loop: sense, reconcile, route, resolve.
An AI agent does not replace your ERP. It sits between the plan and the floor and runs a tight loop the ERP was never built to run: catching exceptions at the moment they happen, reconciling them against the plan, routing them to the right person with the right context, and learning from how they were resolved.
Read the floor signal. Scans, telemetry, a supervisor's voice note, an inbound email about a spec change.
Compare to the plan. What does the ERP say should be true? Where, exactly, is the gap?
Send it to the right owner, with context, a recommended action, and the cost of waiting until tomorrow.
Close the loop. Log the outcome, update the model, catch it earlier next time.
The ERP is one node in this loop, not the loop itself. The agent does the work the ERP was never asked to do: notice the exception, route it to a human with context, and learn from the resolution.
